We wanted to buy two Sherrill sofas based on a recommendation about their high quality construction from our interior designer friend who lives in NJ. We went to two local South Carolina stores to get more info and to hopefully have a chance to sit on different sofas and get the depth and height of a sofa that would fit my 6'5" frame. Very long story short we went back and forth with the two different sales ladies because neither had full grasp of the product line. We finally pieced together (with Sherrill's website) what we wanted. Lack of a complete set of fabric samples at either store further complicated the decision. We ordered some missing samples and finally had exactly what we wanted. On a whim I Googled "Sherrill Furniture Stores" and found Decadent Ave. a bricks and mortar store in AL with an online presence. I tossed out all our parameters to them and had a prompt reply that saved us $1000 over our two local stores. The only leap of faith was that they wanted 100% up front, but putting it on our Discover card gave us a layer of protection. The fabric we selected was on back order so we figured it would be 3 months before we got the pair of sofas. Surprise; it came a month early. All along the way Neil was very helpful in handling our order. Not sure what we need next but he will get an opportunity earn our business again.

My husband and I found a Bernhardt sofa at a local furniture store. We took the measurements to make sure it would work in our recently purchased condo. The sale price was $1,900. I googled Bernhardt Brae sofa, and Decadent Avenue was one of the sites that came up. The exact sofa was advertised on their site for $1,300. I sent an email to info@decadentavenue.com and asked if I could really get the sofa for that price and how much would shipping cost. I heard back from Neil, which started many emails back and forth. I also ended up ordering a King Hickory ottoman in leather, which was another savings of over $600. Shipping was a little high ($250.) but I believe it came from S. Carolina to Wisconsin, and because we were saving over $1,200 on the furniture, it was worth it. He told me 10-12 weeks, because the ottoman was a special order, but it arrived in less than 9 weeks. Neil was great to work with. The King Hickory ottoman was not even on their site, but he was able to order it with the leather I requested. I was a little nervous because I had never heard of this company, I could only find one review, and I had to pay the entire amount up front. But, the review was exactly how I was feeling, and she felt some security with putting it on her Discover card, which is what I did. If you know exactly what furniture you want, and if you're not in a big hurry to get it, give Decadent Avenue a try. Don't be concerned if it's not on their web site, because they can probably get it. We saved over $1,000 and I will definitely order from them again!

I came to Decadent Avenue looking for some bedroom furniture. I got the pleasure of working with Kathy. We went through the store and I pointed out various features of what I liked on the showroom floor. She then took me to the design center where we flipped through a few catalogues and I pointed out some items I really liked. We talked about price points, and Kathy sent me on my way, while she did all the work for me. A few days later, she called me and told me she'd picked some items out and wanted me to come look and see what I might like. Her selections were right on point, and suddenly I went from a hard decision because I didn't see anything I liked to a hard decision because there were several things I liked. The furniture I ended up ordering came in the timeframe the store had promised. The delivery guys were super nice. I live downtown where there's no parking, yet that did not bother them at all. They figured everything out, and handled the setup as if it was their own house and their own furniture. Seeing it in person, I could not be more pleased. It is exactly the style I was looking for and the price I wanted. Overall, the quality was excellent and the customer service from beginning to end was amazing. I've been looking for furniture off and on for a few years, but never have had the attention that Kathy gave me. She understood what I was looking for, and then did all the work to find it. I would definitely go back to this store, and if you do, ask for Kathy.
